"I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a particularly huge fan of the uilleann pipes, but Brendan really shines as a low whistle player on this album. I've owned the CD for several years now, and tracks like "The Robbery of Chester Jail" still leave me breathless after listening. His technique is very sharp and precise without being robotic, and anyone who plays the whistle or flute will immediately recognize his talent. I'll be honest and confess that I'm a bit biased, as I had the pleasure of meeting him in person in Cork years ago and enjoying a great conversation with him over a pint. But just have a listen to tracks 4, 7, or 9, and you be the judge. "
