After releasing 2 iconic albums in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the members of Chimera went their own way. Chimera became known for its own special approach, sometimes described as capricious or quirky, mixing old and new, and drawing a large fan-base.
Now Chimera is back. Bas and Marry Verkade (who founded Chimera) and their son Marijn, accompanied by their fellow 1980s bandmembers in several tracks. Songs in Dutch, all own compositions, haunting female vocals, string instruments and the characteristic soprano and alto recorders.
