Amorroma is available in a variety of line-ups, to suit many different settings and sizes of concert hall. They play either amplified or acoustic depending on the number of musicians or on the type of performance (dances and bals are most often amplified so that the dancers can hear the musicians clearly. The group is primarily a duo, with Sarah Louise Ridy on Baroque harp and Jowan Merckx on whistles, recorders, bagpipes, vocals, bugle and percussion.
As a trio Amorroma features either Elly Aerden on vocals, or Vincent Noiret on double bass.
The quartet line-up features both Elly Aerden and Vincent Noiret, and is the original line-up for the CD Là-bas dans ces Vallons.
Octet: The concert performances of the album Carrousel features a stunning line-up of 8 musicians in total. Sarah and Jowan, together with regular quartet members Elly andVincent, are joined by Tristan Driessen on Oud, Luc Pilartz on fiddle, Toon van Mierlo on uillean pipes, French bagpipes, diatonic accordion and clarinet, and Marten Decombel on mandola and guitar. This combination gives a wonderful variety of musical colours and allows for great expression.
