Work debut by Ana Alcaide. An instrumental record that has as originality the Swedish adaptation of the traditional Spanish repertoire. The key viola has been the protagonist of a selection of traditional Iberian pieces of different origins: Sephardic melodies, Castellan and Flamenco rhythms, Renaissance chords and piezas, as well as some work by Ana Ana. Produced by Carlos Beceiro (La Musgaña), the work is characterized by its folk and traditional style and alternates soft themes, from where the guitar keys fall into the nude, with rich and varied instrumentation pieces.
'My primer was with the guitar keys three years ago, when I traveled to Uppland (Sweden) and I dressed in Spain. Throughout this time, I only had contact with other musicians who played it, so I started to study it in a self-taught way in Toledo, and it was typical of the polskas tradition. He was keen to explore languages where he could fit his special sound, starting with a search for more traditions or geographies. This disc is a reflection of this particular search.… ’
